I dunno if this is news is new per se, however it is exciting nonetheless. First The Cool Kids, then Wale, now Mickey. It’s about time these indie guys start getting the label recognition/payoff they deserve. I know I may not speak for everyone, but I d@mn sure would rather listen to any of them opposed to most of the crap stuff I hear on the radio nowadays. Congrats Mickey!…don’t F this up!

We don’t need no stinking patches bar codes! Please excuse the weak “Troop Beverly Hills” reference and take a gander at this…a designer QR code, by none other than the world famous/renowned Takashi Murakami. He has collaborated with Louis Vuitton in the past with amazing results, so why would this time be any different? For those who do not know, a QR code is kind of like a bar code on the “juice”. According to Barcode Blog, “As it turns out, the technology is a unique bridge between printed media, mobile technology, and Internet technology, allowing the user to take a mobile picture of a printed bar code, and instantly accessing the website to which the encoded URL points.“ With the appropriate reader this one will link you to [lvmonogram.jp] You don’t have to be a dweeb to appreciate technology like this; and if the technology behind this fails to impress, you must admit that it’s pretty cool looking! Apparently these are big in Japan. If this trend spreads to the western world (like things tend to), I am gonna need a substantial phone upgrade.

…in the most loving, respectable way possible haha. What am I talking about? Well, my bro finally got his site up, and I must say it is pretty much amazing! It’s a dope Flash presentation that begins with the introduction of one of his characters named M@x (Star) flying onto the screen, then looking around with googly, shifty eyes. The effects are pretty cool. Aaaaand I got a link on his “Friends” page…so now I feel official. Check it out @ inIt ignition!
Oh yeh, the boxy thing’s name is Fred lol…and apparently he likes ice cream.

Watch this, enough said. I dedicate this to everyone who takes themselves waaaaay too seriously!

I literally stopped watching his blog for no longer than a week and in that time he manages to post amazing tracks (even though one is just a snippet). If you still aren’t familiar with this guys’ work, you are doing yourself an extreme disservice. Anyway, the first track is off of his collaborative EP project with dynamic production team of the Super 3 titled the Sup3r DeShay EP followed by a remix of DOM Kennedy’s track, Where I Belong, which is produced by Mr. DeShay (Ali?) himself. The remix is dope, but I can’t wait until the EP drops…which he tells me should be out by the end of the month!
Radio Love – brandUn DeShay; The Super 3
P.S. This beat reminds me of some oooooold Outkast for some reason

—–Thanks to my bro @ InIt for the tip
Say that 5 times fast lol. Anyway, here are two pairs I decided I must have for the summer (in addition to the Yeezys). The first pair up is a bit different from what I’d normall wear (being that they are super bright!), but I like ‘em. They received mixed reviews on Nice Kicks, and actually a lot of people hate them…but then again, the opinions of others normally don’t influence my purchasing decisions. They are obviously SB dunks, but I’m having a hard time telling if they are Mid’s or Hi’s or some sort of meeting in between.

This next pair is more like my usual cup of tea (errr pair of kicks). The Plan B Classic…which is just that. A nice classic sneaker silhouette. No release info on these yet, but I will keep you posted if I find anything out before any of you do. By the way, I like both of the canvas colorways.

…but for the Easter weekend, my bro, my pops and myself took a mini-vacation up to the Empire State to preview/review some of the latest offerings from the automotive world. Here are some highlights from said road trip.
Feeling restless about midway through the trip, I turned to the camera for refuge.

A fender bender?…on the Turn-Pike?…Getouttaheya! On a brighter note, gas isn’t as expensive up here as I thought it’d be.

We finally made it.

Some shady characters at the show’s entrance…up to no good i’m sure.

Cadillac CTS-V…I must have one of these. M5 eat your heart out!

Another dope concept vehicle from Cadillac. This one replaces the Sixteen they were showing for the past couple of years. It looks closer to production ready than the aforementioned unit, and is supposed to run on some alternative fuel (I was too busy looking at it to pay attention to the announcer).
Yet another amazing display of the tunability of the Scion xB platform. It was actually converted to a pick-up truck, I’m not sure why I didn’t snap a shot of the back.

Allow me to introduce you to the Nissan GT-R…my other dream car, albeit the less practical one. Porsche, eat your heart out!

The Fisker Karma. Would you believe that this is American made?

New E-class. Maybe I’m crazy, but I detect hint of the Lexus GS series in these new styling cues. Tisk Tisk Mercedes. Regardless of the “biting”, it’s still a dope ride!

I forget the name of this one, but it’s an electric car by Dodge. It kinda looks like a mini-Viper.

The Genesis has NOTHING on the Equus! This is what a $50,000+ Hyundai looks like. They were trying to guage interest in this model to determine if they’d have a decent market for it in North America…I say DO IT!!!

After the show we took to the streets in search of nourishment, because everyone knows show food and show food prices “are for suckers!”
Pretty much her tastes in music are impeccable! If you, like myself, have grown tired of all most things on the radio AND you are a bit overwhelmed by/unaware of the abundance of superfluous auditory stimuli (dope music) that is available on the web…her spot will take care of you and then some! If your iPod is any less than 16GB in capacity, you may require a substantial upgrade. You’ve been warned. Enjoy!
If for some tragic reason I do not get my Air Yeezys next month, these will make a suitable constellation prize. The Nike RT1 Hi in Neutral Grey/Green Mist colorway. What do you think?
