I’m not sure if I told you guys this already or not, but Sole Brother is getting releasing the Blue Lobsters on Tuesday, June 30th. I’m not exactly sure of how the whole release works, but I do know that raffle tickets are involved; furthermore, I am not sure of the price they’ll be charging when they do drop. If you don’t feel like waiting until Tuesday, and you don’t mind paying slightly (really really slight) above retail, then I suggest you hit up Hospitality in Richmond like I did. They released the Blue Lobsters @ 12 noon this past Friday. I called around 5 p.m. and was still able to secure a size 9.5 for a cool $110, which is a steal if you ask me. Shout out to my bro-ski for pointing me in their direction!
Yesterday, world class performer, Michael Jackson (AKA the King of Pop) was pronounced dead. I almost couldn’t believe the news, and actually found myself hating TMZ reporting on what I thought to be a terrible terrible hoax…much to my (and everyone else’s) dismay, it wasn’t a hoax. Michael Joseph Jackson has left an amazing legacy behind through, most notably, his music, but also through his various humanitarian efforts which also deserve mentioning. As I said, he was an amazing artist/performer. I don’t think there is one artist out currently who can’t/won’t site him as an influence or at least as an inspiration. His music and even his concepts for videos were larger than life and broke through barriers of multiple genres…there were hip-hop/country/and other pop artists alike who all attempted to mimic his style and emulate him. I can honestly say that his music is timeless. My parents, my grandparents, my younger cousins, and myself can all listen to his music…which is another thing that can’t be said for many (if any other ) artists who are out currently. By today’s standards, 50 years is not old by any means…so it is safe to say this happened way before his time. I hate to sound cliche, but you know they say “the good die young.” Michael, you will be missed.
So the Blue Lobster SB Dunks just dropped yesterday, and the next colorway is already floating around. This time it’s yellow…and I must say that I’m actually not feeling this colorway. What do you think?
Since they seem to be trying every color of the rainbow, how about a purple lobster colorway? …or is enough enough?
All I know, is that I WILL be in line @ Sole Brother next Tuesday .
Takara (the toy company that made a good deal of the original Transformers toys) is at it again! This time with some nifty computer accessories. There are the computer mice, one that transforms into Grimlock and the other which transforms into Trypticon; the two 2GB flash drives that transform into Ravage and Tigatron, as well as a USB hub that transforms into Blaster. The prices may be a bit steep for some, but a fan of the characters (or the franchise in general) may be willing to surrender the funds necessary to acquire one..myself included.
I know many people think the whole Tiffany-colorway gimick has been done to death, but I can’t get enough of it….as long as it is well executed. And you couldn’t ask for a better person to do it then the guy who pretty much invented it, a Mr. Nick Tershay (aka Nicky Diamonds) for those who don’t know. Here we have the 1st image of the new model DVS JDUBB sneaker, and although you can’t even see the entire shoe I am impressed.

My homeboy P.ersonal pushed the album back just a tad bit, but hey…you can’t rush greatness! He has posted up a vid that shows him being himself, while giving a list of features you can expect on the album…and let’s just say this is going to be major! Harley aka Majik and Mel B of No Regard, Coop from Baron Boys, and the homie QuESt who featured on the track “Solar Rhythm” that was posted a little while ago. SYDNEY IN THEORY JULY 21st
Took a trip to Yorktown Beach the other day and the weather was great when I got there; however, that was not the case after parking and heading to the sand…which is when it instantly felt like monsoon season.
Being the ever-so-patient individual that I am, I decided to wait it out…and luckily things changed for the better. The sky was still a bit overcast for a few minutes, but the rain clouds quickly passed and I had some fun. Hence the lack of interesting photos.
When the sun came out, I cheered up and decided to leave my mark on YB.
Well, it seems like it was only yesterday when I first decided to get into this whole blogging thing and whaddaya know, we’re already at our 100th post! I’d say that’s a pretty big deal…but people do tend to tell me that I’m overly excitable. Anyway, here it is! The next “real” drop is officially underway and I know for sure that it will consist of 4 tees and another item I’d really love to put out (if finances permit). I don’t wanna give away too much so here are a few hints of the things to come…
We are too legit to quit!…hence us moving forward with another drop!
I’m gonna have some explaining to do with this one…trust me though, the tee will be dope!
Typically companies and brands like to heavily push their trademarks on the masses, however we have a slightly unorthodox way of doing things here…hence us waiting on this one, but I digress.
All in all, let’s just say I’m excited for the future and seeing where we can take this. Thanks to all of you who showed and continue to show your support! If you have a pic of you being a DWEEB (i.e., wearing a tee) please send it to info@dweeblifestyle.com. No stickers yet, but when there in you can get a few!
…Kicks and Chicks! Allow me to introduce you to a one Ms. Leone Benjamin, a “Bedroom Babe” from the UK magazine NUTZ. Not only is she drop-dead gorgeous, she’s a sneakerhead. A chick who loves kicks…does it get much better than this? NO!…that was a rhetorical question.
