Charlie Murphy is a Certified Fool!

And I love it!  Check this out, it’s the funniest thing I’ve seen all day.  I believe it is actually a Mr. Ryan Leslie providing the vocals.

The Real World – DC

A little while ago I made some mention about me drunkenly harrassing the cast of the Real World DC…true story.  I have not been able to retrieve my own videos, but I did find this one.  I actually met two of the young ladies from the cast; a brunette and I cannot remember the name of the blonde/pink-haired girl, I think it’s Erika.  I also saw a black dude who resembled Alton from the Vegas season.  My friends and I proceeded to follow them via cab to Public which was charging a $50 cover for standard, non-VIP entry (which is ridiculous)….needless to say we weren’t baller-ific enough for VIP which required a reserved table and a 2-bottle minimum…sad face.  Maybe next time.  Oh yeh, here is a vid from bejocund that shows the brunette I mentioned, as well as 5 of the other cast members.

Oh yeah, if you live in DC or are visiting and wanna stop by to stalk say hello, the address is:

This Is What Happens When…

“…People stop being polite and start getting REAL!”…apparently they end up on judge shows to sue deadbeats!  I caught this on TV yesterday.  Joey is supposedly doing well with his acting career now, so kudos to him.

Anyway, allow me to attempt to setup the story line.  Joey and his buddy both have the same manager (keep this in mind).  Joey loans his buddy $5000 and his friend agrees to repay the money.  Joey makes numerous attempts to obtain repayment, but is greeted by various characters such as Elmo and Barack Obama (his buddy is a voiceover actor) when he calls the guy.  His buddy then says he was going to pay him back after he got paid for a commercial gig that his manager landed him.  He later on decides he doesn’t owe Joey any money, because Joey’s manager somehow got Joey the gig.  Since joey “stole” his job from him, he didn’t owe him the money…Judge Pirro decided otherwise.

Josh is Stoked!

This is my boy Josh.  He’s been skating for about a year now…he just started, but he’s already pretty good.  He just got a package in the mail, and needless to say he’s pretty excited about it.

New deck still in the wrapper…

The graphic up-top is pretty sweet, too bad it’s gonna be covered by the griptape…

Now it’s time for the setup…

Blank New Eras

New Era stopped selling blank 59/50 caps in the early 90s and until now it’s been nearly impossible to get your hands on blank New Era 59/50 caps, unless you had some kind of crazy, super-secret hook-up.  Well now indie labels looking for that classic cap silhouette can get ‘em.  The blanks are currently availabe at various Hat World/Lids locations and online, however the caps WILL NOT release at the locations that have embroidery stations and these very same locations WILL NOT embroider these hats if you purchase them elsewhere and bring them to them.  The blank 59/50s will be available in these solid colors and several two-tone colorways.

Another iPod Nano

So apparently capturing video is added to list of things that Apple MP3 playing superstar can do.  I don’t need one, but I want one for some reason.  I wonder how good the camera is…

Available now @ Apple: $149 for the 8GB and $179 for the 16GB…not really sure who wouldn’t want double the capacity for a meager thirty additional dollars.

Art & Copy

I simply must see this film:

Send an e-mail to gotinfo(at)artandcopyfilm(dot)org with “Screening Request” in the subject line.  I’ve already asked them to have it somewhere in the area…I think there are many people in the area who appreciate it.

You Say or Whatcha Say?

Photobucket

This is a track from Ced Hughes (Ced Hughes Twitter) that has been constantly on repeat on my iPod ever since I found it (quite some time ago actually).  I know most of you have heard that song by Jason DeRulo “Whatcha Say” with the sample from Imogen Heap’s “Hide And Seek”…well Ced’s song is produced by DJ Isis (Flysis) and samples the same song; however in my opinion Ced and Flysis’ rendition is waaay better….furthermore, I can’t say with 100% certainty, but I’m pretty sure Ced did it first.  Anyway, here is the original song by Imogen Heap, followed by Ced’s “You Say”, and then Jason’s “Whatcha Say”?  Which is better?  You be the judge.

You Say – Ced Hughes (Prod. by DJ Isis aka Flysis)

P.S.  You may have to click the link in the Imeem player that says “Play Full Song”.  For some reason they’ve been pretty lame with me lately.

Aye Ced, What Up Tho?

What’s good homie?  I’m not a stalker or anything, but I was doing some snooping surfing and I landed on your myspace page.  I’m not sure if it’s new or not, but under your info (“Record Label” and “Type of Label” in particular) I noticed something interesting.  Do you have some exciting news for your fans?  Or has that been there for a while and I was too slow to notice it previously?  Well if it is indeed new, congratulations and you deserve it man!
