I’m a bit late, but the “Reup Spot Presents: The Bailout” dropped on September 7th as promised. And also as promised (by me anyway haha) it was/is dope! The amount of talent contained therein is immense! Check it out, and like you won’t be disappointed…I GUARANTEE IT!!!
According to Sony at IFA2009, a firmware update will bring stereoscopic display support to the PS3 in 2010…and you don’t need one of those fancy schmancy Sony Bravia 3D tvs; any 3D television set will work. Wearing the goggles/glasses to play seems a bit odd though…
Elyse Walker is specialty boutique located in Pacific Palisades, CA. They pride themselves on stocking a comprehensive range of haute couture and street wear brands for their fashion savvy clientèle which includes a slew of high profile celebrities. And as of August 21, Supra has been added to the list. To commemorate this, a party was held at the store. The red head is Elyse Walker, the owner. In the words of “The Mask,” she is “smoooookin’!” haha
I think this is one sneaker silhouette that I won’t be tired of for quite a while…considering I have 4 different pairs and am constantly considering procuring another pair (despite my severe lack of funds). Supra is no stranger to the collaboration game and this time they teamed up with online streetwear superstore Karmaloop. The lovechild of these juggernauts is this delightful banana yellow, patent leather colorway. I think it’s pretty dope. These are releasing @ Karmaloop’s flagship store in Boston on September 4th.
I know a lot of people hate on Nike SB for one reason or another, but their tees are always on point; this season however, I’m diggin majority of the collection. The cardigan is the clearly the standout piece, but the tee is pretty tough as well. They have some dope pieces that are currently available at Premier. Hopefully DWEEB can do things like this one day, until then…
On September 7th, the good dudes over at The Reup Spot will release t”THE BAILOUT” mixtape. The economy has received several supposed “bailouts”, so the way I see it Hip-Hop deserves one as well.
What does this project stand for?
As you know our government has handed out several of its own bailouts for the economy. It is now time for hip hop to be given a bailout delivered by its artists. A bailout from the negativity of the recession. A bailout away from ringtone rap. A bailout from washed out fads. A bailout that will signify what hip hop truly stands for.A bailout that will prove the upcoming artists have the talent for mainstream attention. A bailout which sways the attention from billboard charts and gives it to the hard working, independent artists that have been on a constant grind.
This project includes contributions from artists such as Charles Hamilton, The Lonius, Premiere, Yung Nate, A.Dd+, Vince Staples, and other notable artists; you know the type…talented, with something to say, and don’t need to incorporate a dance into a track just to get people to listen to it. I for one am stoked about this!…and given Reup’s consistency of delivering dope tunes on a daily, this should be a no brainer.
I have heard of Tyler/Ace The Creator and the OddFuture family before (mainly on brandUn DeShay’s tracks), and frankly I never knew they were the same person smh…I always thought Tyler was a producer and Ace was a rapper and they just both happened to have “The Creator” at the end of their names. Anyway, I was his site/blog earlier today and I found these two tracks. The production is solid! (not anything overly jubilant or bouncy as say a Kanye track, but the beats are good); what really gets me are his lyrics…
Here are two tracks I just heard over at The Reup Spot from two of my favorite artists. The first is "It’s OK" by Mickey Factz. And the second is titled "Big Wheels" and features a bevy of local talent including The Lonius, my homie P.ersonal, Rebel E’s own Barz Vic, and QueSt…needless to say, this one is dope! Enjoy!
