Bar Codes?

We don’t need no stinking patches bar codes! Please excuse the weak “Troop Beverly Hills” reference and take a gander at this…a designer QR code, by none other than the world famous/renowned Takashi Murakami.  He has collaborated with Louis Vuitton in the past with amazing results, so why would this time be any different?  For those who do not know, a QR code is kind of like a bar code on the “juice”.  According to Barcode Blog, “As it turns out, the technology is a unique bridge between printed media, mobile technology, and Internet technology, allowing the user to take a mobile picture of a printed bar code, and instantly accessing the website to which the encoded URL points.“  With the appropriate reader this one will link you to [lvmonogram.jp] You don’t have to be a dweeb to appreciate technology like this; and if the technology behind this fails to impress, you must admit that it’s pretty cool looking!  Apparently these are big in Japan.  If this trend spreads to the western world (like things tend to), I am gonna need a substantial phone upgrade.
